of packaging prevention cases
Since 1998, the CNE has been following up its partners’ efforts to take preventive actions by performing a critical prior review of the cases that it had received, and by using a referential to evaluate prevention efforts in terms of mass and/or volume (equivalent in trucks) in accordance with the EN13428 standard.
Who are we ?
The French Packaging Council (CNE), a non-profit organization founded in 1997, is a moral authority and a forum for dialogue between the various players of the packaging industry: packaging materials manufacturers, packaging manufacturers (converters), producers of consumer goods, distributors, approved collection and recovery systems and operators, local authorities as well as consumer and environmental organizations.
The values supported by the French Packaging Council are: the permanent dialogue between different stakeholders, pedagogy for all and pragmatism while respecting the confidentiality during the exchanges between the partners...
As it is historically active in the development of a packaging waste prevention policy, the CNE more generally wishes to be a spearhead in the development of a responsible policy relative to the eco-design of products packaging.
