French consumers can directly read on their products (or on other informative material) claims about packaging.
Regarding environmental claims, the French Packaging Council specifies that in accordance with the French programming act n°2009-967 on the Implementation of the Grenelle Environment, environmental information must coincide with the overall characteristics of the product and its packaging.
